This wine is a blend of Vasse Felix's best parcels of Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon, a portion of which is fermented in new French oak barriques to provide additional complexity, texture and length. It is aromatic and vibrant with a subtle savoury nuance.
VINTAGE DESCRIPTION
Another quality Margaret River vintage. Mild conditions with no extreme weather conditions, allowing for balanced fruit and a slow and steady intake. There was no disease pressure and fruit quality is excellent the only disappointment was low yields across the Region for all key varieties. This was the outcome of storms in Spring and pressure from an increased local population of Silver Eyes (birds) and no Marri Blossom.
Scintillating
The semillon-sauvignon partnership has been adapted to sometimes thrilling gastronomic effect in those parts of the world where the red Bordeaux blend also thrives. In Australia's Margaret River, for example, home of the scintillating Vasse Felix Sauvignon Blanc Semillon 2012.

Intense, incisive aromas and flavours bound together by balanced acidity. (2014 Vintage)

A blend that takes the usual fare for this combo to another plane of excellence. Superb aromatics of honeysuckle, tropical fruit and subtle lemon stone fruit. The palate is just beautiful with deep complexity and flavour. The fruit is still dominant but there are other factors at play which elevate this. Finishes crisp and precise.

A very clever wine that has neatly styled lime and white peach fruit. Gently flinty, some dried flowers and grassy nuances, with plenty of interest here. The palate is lined with tropical fruits in the mango and guava flavor spectrum, fleshy and ripe, nicely cut with crunchy acidity. Drink now. (2014 Vintage)
